How much does small business website design cost?
A five-page site runs $1,700 to $5,000 and takes two to four weeks. A single landing page is $1,200 to $4,000. Ten to fifteen pages runs $8,000 to $25,000. We quote fixed scope after a discovery call rather than an hourly estimate that grows later, so the number you agree is the number you pay.
How long does it take?
Two to four weeks for a five-page site once content is ready. The delay in almost every small business project is content: photographs, service details, pricing decisions. We send a short list of what to gather at kickoff, and projects where that arrives on time finish on time.
Do I need a website if I already have a Facebook page?
A social page rents your audience from a platform that can change the rules or the reach overnight, and it will not rank for someone searching for your service in your town. A website you own does both. For most small businesses the two work together, with social bringing people in and the site converting them.
What do I need to give you?
Your services and what each one costs or starts at, photographs of real work, any reviews you already have, your logo if you have one, and access to your domain. If you do not have photographs or a logo we will tell you honestly whether it is worth investing in them first.
Will my website show up on Google?
On-page work makes you eligible: proper structure, page titles, local schema, fast loading, and a page for each service you want to be found for. Ranking also depends on your Google Business Profile, reviews and how competitive your area is. We set up everything on the site and tell you plainly what else it will take, rather than promising a position we cannot control.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes. You get a content management system and a recorded walkthrough covering the changes owners actually make: prices, hours, staff, photographs, new services. Anything structural you can send to us, but the routine edits should never need a developer.
Who owns the website when it is finished?
You do. Code, design files, domain, hosting and analytics are all yours, and it does not depend on staying on a care plan with us. If you ever want to move to another agency you take everything with you.
Do you write the content?
Yes, and it is included. We interview you, write the copy, and design around real words rather than placeholder text. If you would rather write it yourself we will give you a brief and a word count per page, and design to your draft.
What happens after launch?
You can run it yourself with the walkthrough and documentation, or take a care plan at $150 to $600 a month covering hosting, backups, updates, monitoring and a set number of content changes. There is no lock-in either way.
Is a cheap website builder good enough?
Sometimes, honestly. If you need a single page with your hours and a phone number, a builder will do it for a few pounds a month and we would rather tell you that than sell you something bigger. Custom design starts paying when the site has to compete in search, sell more than one service, or convert paid traffic.
